TEN TRUTHS ABOUT LIES
.Honesty may not always pay, but lying always costs.
.Trust is a tower, built stone by stone, lies take stones from the bottom.
.There is no security in secrecy; every undiscovered lie is a live landmine.
.Every lie breeds a bodyguard of new lies to protect itself.
.Lies look very different to the person lied to than the person telling the lie.
.When you are in a hole stop digging – denying , minimizing or rationalizing your lies only makes things worse.
.Lies cast doubt on the past as well as the future as every victim asks, “What else have you lied to me about?”
.Being accountable for lying is a start, but it doesn’t remove the scar.
.Half-truths and omissions intended to deceive are just lies.
.It only takes one lie to make you a liar or distrust someone who lied to you.
