Life is too short to be little.

Let others lead small lives, but not you.  Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone else’s hands, but not you. – Jim Rohn.

Don’t fritter away precious moments on petty things. Easier said than done.

We live our lives daily, hour by hour, minute by minute, moment by moment and these small units of time are generally filled with little things that really seem to matter at the time. Seeking small pleasures, avoiding minor discomforts, pursuing trivial goals. We are too easily offended, too consumed by suspicions (“what did he mean by that?” and too self-absorbed to say a nice thing that could brighten the day of others. We think this is our life, but it is only how we are choosing to live our life.

If we are thoughtful how we spend our time and emotional energy we can make our relationships and our jobs more meaningful and rewarding and in so doing build a far more gratifying and worthy life. We should set a mental or actual alarm (on that smart phone) to remind If ourselves that our purpose and potential is for us to live are far more grand and glorious life.
